JE FSI FSR Piston Set 2.0T

The CTS Turbo JE 2.0T FSI FSR Piston Sets provide a robust internal upgrade for all 2.0T FSI timing belt driven turbo engines. Engineered by JE Pistons, these sets are designed to handle the demands of daily driving, road racing, drag racing, and full competition use, built to withstand forces exceeding 8000 G's. Each forging is application-specific to minimize weight and ensure reliable interaction with the engine's rotating assembly. The state-of-the-art FSR forging utilizes an asymmetrical skirt design, reducing mass and friction-induced wear compared to traditional full-round skirts. This design places a larger, stronger skirt on the side of the piston that endures the primary side loading during high-pressure combustion, while the opposite skirt is smaller for weight savings. The FSR pistons maintain a full-width wrist pin and robust pin bosses to support the high loads of a turbocharged engine, preventing wear or ovaling. To mitigate in-cylinder noise often associated with lightweight pistons, these feature an offset pin for quiet operation. These piston sets include JE wire locks, Pro Seal piston rings, and standard JE wrist pins. They come with an individually prepared inspection report detailing dimensional conformity and are individually serialized for complete traceability. A 23-point post-production inspection is conducted by certified personnel, ensuring tighter tolerances on 14 critical areas and that all critical surfaces are machined in a dedicated Critical Manufacturing Cell. Note that the JE FSR design may require modification or spacing of oil squirters for clearance on some 1.8T blocks.
