Description

This adapter kit allows for the installation of GM V6 or V8 engines into Jeeps equipped with AX4 or AX5 manual transmissions. The AX5 transmission was predominantly used in Jeep Wranglers and early XJ Cherokees. It was introduced with the 2.8L V6 in the Cherokee as early as 1984 and later used with the AMC 150 (2.5L) 4-cylinder engine in the Wrangler from 1987 to 2002.
