The Mobil Jet Oil 387 is a high-performance turbine oil engineered to meet the demands of both current and future advanced gas turbine engines used in commercial and military aviation. Formulated from a meticulously prepared ester base stock and enhanced with a proprietary additive package, this lubricant offers exceptional thermal and oxidation stability. This stability is crucial for resisting deterioration and preventing deposit formation, even under extreme operating conditions. Mobil Jet Oil 387 has demonstrated excellent performance in controlling deposits in both liquid and vapor phases within bearing compartments, oil supply lines, and breather/scavenger lines. Its properties have been validated through extensive laboratory testing, including the Corrosion-Oxidation Stability Test, Alcor Deposition Test, Vapor Phase Coker, Erdco High-Temperature Bearing Test, Ryder Gear, and the Mobil Thin Film Oxidation Test. The oil features closely controlled viscosity at -40°C (-40°F) and a pour point below -54°C (-65°F), ensuring reliable low-temperature fluidity for starting and lubrication down to -40°C. In laboratory tests, it exhibits excellent bulk oil stability at temperatures exceeding 225°C (437°F).
