Apex performance lowering springs have over 35 years of experience in producing high-quality coil springs. The extensive range covers many popular and unusual vehicles. Apex Automotive is part of the Austrian Pewag group, known for metal products. The springs feature a high-gloss bright yellow powder-coated finish for performance lowering springs (gloss black for replacement products) over a rust protection coating that exceeds standard salt spray tests. They are made from high-quality Chrome Silicium (CrSi) steel, the same as used by some OEM vehicle manufacturers, with a tensile strength of 1.800-2.00N/mm2. The manufacturing process includes coiling on high-efficiency machines, annealing to reduce hardness and eliminate internal stress, and shot peening for maximum durability and surface preparation for coating. For corrosion protection, Apex applies a thin layer of Zirkonium / Mangan and Short polymers for better bonding with the topcoat, followed by a plastic epoxy powder coating cured in a furnace. This results in a high-gloss finish with high resistance to chipping and very good corrosion resistance, double the industry standard for aftermarket springs.
