The Collins Performance Technologies JZ to BMW E90-E93 Adapter Plate is a crucial component for integrating Toyota 1JZ and 2JZ engines, including VVTI variants, with BMW ZF and Getrag 6-speed transmissions in E90, E91, E92, and E93 chassis vehicles. This adapter plate enables a seamless connection between the JZ engine family and the specified BMW transmissions. It is designed to work with 2008-2013 328i, 328xi, 330i, 330xi, 335i, 335is, and 335xi models equipped with 6-speed manual transmissions. The kit includes the adapter plate itself, BMW dowel pins, a JZ to BMW engine-side bolt kit, and a BMW E90 transmission-side bolt kit. To complete the swap, users will need to supply a Toyota 2JZ open-faced starter, a BMW 335i (2008-2010) pressure plate compatible with the Collins flywheel, a clutch disc suitable for the BMW transmission and JZ engine combination, and their stock BMW release bearing, fork, and slave cylinder. The adapter plate features recesses for dowel pins and includes the necessary dowels to ensure proper transmission centering. Collins Performance Technologies also offers a matching flywheel separately. Notably, the adapter plate is designed to accommodate a Toyota 2JZ starter with supplied M10 studs, allowing for removal without disassembling the engine and transmission assembly. This feature streamlines the installation and maintenance process.
