K&N 03-04 Evo 8 ONLY Polished Typhoon Short Ram Intake

The K&N 69-6543TP Typhoon air intake system is a free-flowing, mandrel-bent aluminum tube air induction system designed to dramatically reduce air flow restriction as it smoothes and straightens air flow. This allows the engine to inhale a larger amount of air than the factory air intake, resulting in more usable power and acceleration throughout the engine's RPM range. The system includes an ultra-lightweight carbon fiber topped K&N high-flow air filter and a carbon fiber heat shield that installs into the previous air box space. The intake tube has an attractive chrome-like finish. It accommodates the factory mass air sensor and two vent hoses. The oversized cone-shaped air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing. Installation is relatively easy, typically taking 90 minutes or less using existing factory mounting points with common tools such as a screwdriver, pliers, ratchet set, and an Allen wrench.
