The K&N Engineering 69-3540TP Cold Air Intake is designed for 2018-2023 Ford Mustang GT models with the 5.0L V8 engine. This Typhoon Cold Air Intake maximizes your Mustang’s engine power by facilitating cooler, oxygen-rich air to fill the combustion chamber for an optimized air-fuel mixture. The resulting enhanced airflow delivers significant improvement in torque, throttle response, and an increase of 16 horsepower at 7000 RPMs. It does not require reprogramming of your Mustang’s computer, boosting engine power using the factory tune. AmericanMuscle, however, still recommends a custom tune to reprogram your ECU to get the best possible performance from this intake. The air filter features layered cotton media with a pleated style for efficient dust holding capacity. The intake system is built with a durable black cross-linked polyethylene housing and free-flowing, mandrel-bent aluminum tubing. A heat shield is included to enhance cooler air inflow. This cold air intake is designed as a direct-fit replacement to your stock intake system, reusing factory mounting points and installs in about an hour using basic hand tools.
