They improved upon existing designs and came out with the aircharger, the biggest conical filter they could fit in the engine bay while maintaining the factory mounts. Less Maintenance! Because of the larger filter size, cleaning is no longer required up to 100,000 miles! Durability. K&N use high quality materials to give you a durable product that is sure to last. The intake tube is made from interlaced high density Polyethylene, while other parts are made from reinforced nylon and silicone. K&N guarantee a difference in HP and acceleration. Mounts easily using the factory mounting locations. Comes with a one million mile limited warranty! Works with OE computer systems and is street legal in most states. This part is not approved for sale in California or states that require a California E.O. # and is intended for off-road and competition use only. Installation of this part on a vehicle that is driven on public roads may violate U.S. laws and/or regulations. A high-density polyethylene (HDPE) rotationally-molded tube helps increase the volume of airflow to your engine, and provides a guaranteed increase in horsepower and torque. These systems are paired with a washable, reusable High-Flow Air Filter featuring oiled cotton filter media. The oversized, conical design allows you to go up to 100,000 miles between filter services under normal highway driving conditions. A custom heat shield helps protect intake air from the high temperature of your engine bay, and the entire system can typically be installed in less than 90 minutes. Some intakes are not legal for sale or use on any pollution controlled motor vehicle in California. See the product specifications for CARB status on each part for a specific vehicle.
