Description

The K&N 57-1518 performance air intake kit, also known as an FIPK (Fuel Injection Performance Kit), is engineered to enhance airflow for the 1996-2001 Jeep Cherokee equipped with the L6-4.0L engine. This system replaces the factory air filter and intake housing with a high-density polyethylene (HDPE) rotationally molded tube and an oversized, conical high-flow filter. The design aims to improve engine breathing and deliver a guaranteed increase in horsepower. The K&N filter is designed for longevity, capable of lasting up to 100,000 miles between servicing under normal highway driving conditions. This intake system is CARB exempt and street legal. The combination of the tuned intake tube and the high-flow air filter is intended to provide noticeable improvements in engine performance and throttle response.
