The K&N RU-1042XD is a universal clamp-on air filter engineered to enhance performance across a broad spectrum of equipment, from racing vehicles to generators and snowmobiles. Its high-flow design, featuring four layers of premium cotton gauze treated with a special tacking agent, ensures excellent filtration while promoting increased horsepower and acceleration. The filter's round tapered shape and red color are distinctive, and its construction includes ultra-strong, molded pliable rubber flanges. They can also be stretched up to 1/16 of an inch (1.5mm) to accommodate slight variations in intake sizes. The RU-1042XD is a washable and reusable component, offering a long-term, cost-effective solution for engine air intake needs. It carries a one-year limited warranty.
