The Hondata KTR-ECU-01-02 is an ECU flash tuning solution that enhances vehicle performance by improving throttle response and reducing turbo lag. This device allows you to upload custom tunes directly to your factory ECU via the OBD-II port, offering a versatile engine management upgrade. It includes preloaded base maps suitable for common modifications, serving as a starting point for tuning. Key features of the KTuner V1.2 include Bluetooth connectivity for the TunerView app (Android only), allowing for datalogging without a laptop. It also offers multiple tune storage capabilities and connects via USB to a Windows PC. The tuner works with your OEM ECU, eliminating the need for a standalone unit and supporting various Honda and Acura platforms like K-series, L-series 1.5T, J-series V6, and F-series engines. Important considerations include that the KTuner V1.2 locks to a single ECU upon the first flash; however, it can be unlocked for resale or transfer by reverting the car to its factory tune using the KTuner software or TunerView app. All sales are final, and returns are not accepted once the device has been received due to its association with the ECU's serial number and licensing. For significant modifications, a professional dyno tune is highly recommended after installing KTuner. The TunerView app requires an Android device; iPhone users will need to use a Windows laptop.
