K-Pro V4 ECU

The Hondata K-Pro V4 is a fully programmable engine control unit engineered to provide complete tuning control for the 2005-2006 Acura RSX Type-S. It grants users full command over critical engine parameters including fuel delivery, ignition timing, VTEC engagement, cam phasing, and boost control strategies. This system is essential for those moving beyond basic bolt-on modifications and seeking to calibrate their engine for optimal performance, whether for naturally aspirated setups, turbochargers, or larger K24 swaps. This K-Pro V4 package involves a modified 2002-2004 RSX ECU (specifically PRB, PND, PPA, or PPL variants) that has undergone internal hardware modifications to ensure compatibility with the 2005-2006 RSX sensors and outputs. It is supplied with a dedicated adapter harness, eliminating the need for complex wiring or repinning, making for a plug-and-play installation. The system connects via USB to a laptop running KManager software, enabling real-time tuning, comprehensive datalogging, and live parameter adjustments. The PND ECU option is typically less expensive but does not retain reverse lockout functionality. The PRB Type-S ECU option is more costly but preserves all original features, including reverse lockout, making it the preferred choice for many Type-S owners seeking a less compromised setup. Important compatibility notes and limitations apply. The 05-06 KPro is certified exclusively for use in the 2005-2006 RSX chassis. Certain sensors may require disabling to avoid ECU error codes. The 2005-2006 O2 sensor is incompatible; an O2 sensor from an 02-04 RSX or 02-05 Civic Si must be used instead. Cruise control performance may be affected at higher speeds due to differences in speed sensor signals.
