K-Pro V4 Engine Control Unit

The Hondata K-Pro V4 is a powerful engine management system designed to unlock the full performance potential of the 2005-2006 Acura RSX. This unit consists of a modified 2002-2004 RSX ECU (PRB, PND, PPA, or PPL) paired with a specialized adapter harness, enabling seamless integration into the 05-06 RSX chassis. It provides comprehensive control over critical engine functions, including fuel delivery, ignition timing, VTEC engagement, cam angles, and boost tables, all manageable through the KManager Windows software via a USB connection. This system is essential for enthusiasts looking to move beyond basic bolt-on modifications and achieve true custom tuning. It offers advanced capabilities such as configuring for larger injectors and aftermarket MAP sensors, implementing safety strategies for lean conditions and overboost, and enabling features like launch control and anti-lag. With onboard 8MB datalogging, users can capture extensive performance data, and Bluetooth support with the Hondata Mobile App further enhances usability and tuning flexibility. Flex fuel capability is also supported through an ethanol sensor input, allowing for adjustments up to 60 PSI boost and 11,000 RPM. Several options are available for acquiring the K-Pro V4. Customers can choose to send in their own compatible 2002-2004 RSX ECU for modification. Alternatively, Hybrid Racing can supply a tested and verified PND base model ECU (which may not retain reverse lockout functionality) or a PRB Type-S ECU, which retains full feature access and is recommended for most Type-S customers. Please note that the Hondata K-Pro V4 is certified only for use in the 2005-2006 RSX chassis. It is intended for off-road or racing use only and is not street legal in the United States. Certain sensors may require disabling to prevent ECU errors, and the stock 05-06 O2 sensor is incompatible; an O2 sensor from an 02-04 RSX or 02-05 Civic Si must be used. Additionally, cruise control functionality may be affected at higher speeds due to differences in the speed sensor.
