The Gear-X K-Series 1-4 Drag Kit Gen 2 is an upgraded gear set designed for drag racers seeking improved street or track performance. This kit introduces revised ratios, featuring a straight-cut 1st gear for superior launch acceleration and helical gears for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gears to optimize power delivery. This Gen 2 kit is specifically engineered for K20 and K24 engines from model years 2002-2012. It includes a custom main shaft and is designed with longer splines to ensure compatibility with twin-disk clutch setups. The gear ratios are as follows: 1st Gear – 2.80 (Straight cut), 2nd Gear – 1.894 (Helical), 3rd Gear – 1.304 (Helical), and 4th Gear – 1.083 (Helical). The manufacturer recommends this kit exclusively for naturally aspirated (NA) vehicles. This drag kit is designed for specific Honda and Acura models, including the 8th and 9th Gen Honda Civic, Acura RSX, 1st Gen Acura TSX, and 2nd Gen Acura TSX. It is rated for applications up to 500 horsepower and can be used with an optional 5th Cuff Brace (sold separately) or with OEM/alternative Gear-X 5th and 6th ratio gears.
