The Skunk2 Racing K-Series Aluminum Racing Oil Pan is an essential upgrade for any high-performance K20 or K24 engine that demands superior oil control, particularly during high G-force operation commonly encountered in racing applications. Constructed from robust, TIG-welded aircraft-grade 5052 aluminum, the oil pan features an advanced baffled sump with strategically placed trap doors. This design allows oil to flow unimpeded into the sump while preventing oil from sloshing away from the pickup during dynamic maneuvers. Furthermore, the 'kick-out' design integrated into the oil pan serves a dual purpose: it helps to fling oil away from the crankcase, thereby reducing windage-related power losses and minimizing oil aeration. This contributes to improved engine longevity and performance. This racing oil pan boasts a substantial nine-quart oil capacity, offering increased oil volume for better thermal management and lubrication. It is equipped with a thick, 10.5mm billet flange for a secure and leak-free seal, and includes a -10AN turbo oil return port for easy integration of turbocharger oil feed lines. The use of aluminum construction also results in a significant weight reduction compared to traditional steel oil pans, contributing to better overall vehicle performance. Please note that this oil pan requires the use of the PRB oil pump from a K20 series engine for proper fitment and operation.
