K-Series Engine Swap Kit

The KPower Race K Swap Package is engineered for enthusiasts and competitors aiming to integrate a Honda K-series engine into the BMW E30 chassis. This package includes a transmission adapter plate (K to Getrag 260 or K to E36/E46), a K to BMW 5-speed aluminum flywheel, and a custom extended Tilton release bearing. Engine mounting is handled by 3/16” laser-cut steel arms with AKG Motorsport polyurethane pads. The kit also features an aluminum V2 E30-specific front sump baffled oil pan, a machined aluminum V2 K20 oil pump adapter, and a 7/8” V2 steel pickup tube. For intake, it includes a KPower cast RWD manifold with a 74mm throttle body and an E30-specific throttle cable wheel. Additionally, a remote brake/clutch fluid reservoir kit with an N15 Design bracket, a plug-and-play K to E30 wiring conversion harness, and a plug-and-play C101 sub-harness are provided. A custom E30-specific upper coolant neck with an E30 temperature sender port, all necessary hardware, and a flywheel dust shield complete the package. Detailed installation instructions are included. The KPower engine mounts are compatible with JDM K24A RBB, K24A2, K24A3, K24A4, K20Z3, K20Z4, and K24A8 engines. However, they do NOT fit K20A2, K20Z1, or K24A1 blocks due to specific bolt-hole incompatibilities on the left side of the block. For optimal performance and compatibility, a BMW Z3 Steering Rack is recommended, as the OEM rack is notably slower. Early model E30s may require swapping to a late-model cluster for proper tachometer function, and a specific 4-cylinder coding plug is necessary for accurate RPM readings. Vehicles from 1986-1987 without a factory check engine light in the cluster will require the customer to connect the provided CEL wire from the harness. For users of Link G4X ECUs, the Honda wideband O2 and OBD2 scan port will not be functional without additional purchased kits. The Getrag 240 transmission requires the ZF5 adapter plate and flywheel. This package is compatible with right-hand drive (RHD) vehicles.
