K-Series Ported Oil Pump

The 4 Piston Racing 4PR-KPUMP is a specially ported oil pump engineered to enhance the performance and reliability of Honda K-Series K20 and K24 engines. Unlike the stock K-Series oil pump, which can experience cavitation and pressure drops above 8,000 rpm, especially as temperatures rise, this upgraded unit offers a 25% increase in flow. This enhanced flow allows for continuous operation above 9,000 rpm, and has been successfully tested up to 12,000 rpm. The 4PR-KPUMP features a pickup that is positioned further forward and lower in the oil pan for optimal oil scavenging. This design, along with the improved flow, can also contribute to an additional 1-2 horsepower. Compared to commonly used S2K pumps, the 4P Pump offers advantages such as a more forward and lower pickup location. The pump is derived from a new OEM Honda oil pump, with the internal passages ported and smoothed and the external housing modified for improved performance. It is the preferred oil pump choice for many racing engines due to its robust performance characteristics.
