K Series Water Plate

The K-Tuned Water Plate with K Series Alternator Brackets is engineered to replace the bulky OEM water passage with a lightweight, CNC-machined 6061 billet aluminum block-off plate. This component is designed for K-series engines, specifically excluding the K24Z application, and is intended solely for drag racing use. The system deletes the OEM water pump, auto tensioner, power steering, and A/C, making it compatible with K-series alternators. The kit includes the water plate, hardware, alternator brackets, a custom water plate fitting, an alternator pulley, and a 7PK800 belt. Installation requires drilling out the mounting bolt passages in the alternator to accommodate upgraded hardware. The kit is designed to work with the crank pulley from a K20 Type R or a medium-sized K20A2. If a larger crank pulley is used, a longer belt may be necessary. The product is not recommended for street cars or stock/mild builds due to its full-flow nature, which can lead to over-cooling without a thermostat or regulated flow. Furthermore, this kit does not provide provisions for running any other belt-driven accessories like AC or power steering.
