The K04-001 is an upgrade turbocharger designed as a direct, plug-and-play replacement for OEM units, offering enhanced performance capabilities. This oil and water-cooled turbocharger features an internal wastegate and boasts a compressor wheel measuring 54x42mm with a 6+6 blade configuration, and a turbine wheel measuring 50x42mm with 12 blades, which is identical in size to the original K04-023 turbo. To achieve its potential of up to 260hp, this turbocharger requires supporting modifications. These include a larger intercooler, a 76mm downpipe, and a 200-cell racing catalytic converter, along with an ECU remap. The turbo inlet measures 50mm, necessitating the use of a 50mm intake hose. It is important to note that after installation, the oil supply and return lines must be replaced; these can be sourced from your VAG dealer. This turbocharger is suitable for a range of Audi, Seat, Skoda, and Volkswagen 1.8T models. Specific applications include the Audi TT 8N (150-180hp AGU, ARZ, ARX, AUM, AQA, AJQ, APP, ARY, AUQ), Audi A3 8L (150-180HP), Seat Ibiza models (6k Cupra/Cupra R 156-180hp, 6L FR 150hp, 6L Cupra 180hp), Seat Leon 1M1 (1.8T 180hp FWD), Skoda Octavia I (1u 1.8T 150-180hp), and VW Golf 4 1.8T (150-180HP AGU, ARZ, AUM, AUQ) and VW Polo 1.8T 9N3 (with engine codes BJX and BBU).
