K04 Turbo Kit

The Integrated Engineering K04 Turbo Kit features a modified genuine Borg Warner K04 turbocharger, engineered for a simple and quick installation. This kit is designed to bolt directly onto compatible EA888 Gen 1 & 2 TSI engines, offering a substantial power increase of up to 391 HP and 398 TQ when combined with necessary supporting modifications and a proper ECU tune (sold separately). The engineers focused on creating a clean installation by machining the compressor covers and attaching an adapter plate to retain the diverter valve in its OE location for TSI engines, eliminating the need for external diverter relocation kits and associated plumbing. To achieve optimal performance and reliability with this upgraded turbo, several supporting modifications are recommended. These include a performance downpipe (IE recommends a 3" unit), a high-flow performance air intake system like the IE Cold Air Intake Kit (IEINCC2), and an upgraded high-performance intercooler to manage increased charge air temperatures and prevent heat soak. Additionally, for vehicles equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission, an upgraded performance clutch is required to handle the increased power output. A software upgrade to the factory ECU is mandatory for the system to function correctly. The IE K04 Turbo Kit is compatible with a range of Volkswagen and Audi models including the GTI Mk5, GTI Mk6, Jetta Mk6, CC, Passat B6, and Tiguan, all equipped with the 2.0T TSI engine (EA888 Gen 1 & 2, timing chain driven). Once installed, the K04 appears largely OE, maintaining a stealthy appearance unless other external modifications are visible.
