K04 Turbocharger for 2.0T FSI TSI Gen1

The CTS Turbo K04 Turbocharger Upgrade is engineered for FSI and TSI Gen1 transverse engines, offering a significant performance enhancement. Unlike hybrid builds that force larger components into undersized housings, CTS Turbo's engineers designed specific compressor and exhaust housings to perfectly integrate with the larger K04 CHRA for optimal flow and reliability. This ensures the turbocharger provides superior performance and longevity, avoiding the common pitfalls of poor flow and premature failure associated with lesser designs. This upgrade features a CTS-spec K04 CHRA equipped with heavy-duty thrust bearings for increased durability. The compressor wheel is a MFS (machined from solid) billet design, paired with K04-specific compressor and turbine housings. The unit is VSR high-speed balanced for smooth operation and includes an OEM installation kit for a direct-fit factory replacement. It is compatible with any K04-specific ECU tune and the factory turbo outlet pipe on both FSI and TSI engines, though it is not compatible with aftermarket K03 outlet pipes. To utilize this turbocharger upgrade, a K04-specific software tune and a performance downpipe are required. CTS Turbo also recommends additional supporting modifications for optimal performance, including their Cold Air Intake, Direct-Fit Intercooler Kit, and for EA888 engines, a High Flow Turbo Outlet Pipe. For EA113 engines, S3 Fuel Injectors and an HPFP upgrade are recommended.
