K04 Turbocharger Upgrade

The CTS Turbo K04 Turbocharger Upgrade is engineered as a direct-fit factory replacement for FSI and TSI Gen1 engines, covering both EA113 (timing belt) and EA888.1 (timing chain) variants in various VW and Audi models. This upgrade utilizes a CTS-spec K04 CHRA equipped with heavy-duty thrust bearings and features a 46.38/56.1mm compressor wheel designed for optimal flow. Unlike hybrid turbochargers, this unit incorporates K04-specific compressor and turbine housings, aiming to prevent premature failure and enhance performance. However, installation requires a K04-specific ECU tune and a performance downpipe. The turbo is VSR high-speed balanced and built to OEM+ manufacturing tolerances, ensuring reliability and direct-fit installation. An OEM installation kit is included, and it is compatible with factory turbo outlet pipes for both FSI and TSI engines, but not aftermarket K03 outlet pipes. This turbocharger upgrade is compatible with a wide range of vehicles including the Audi A3 (2006-2013), Audi TT (2008-2015), VW Golf GTI (2006-2014), VW Jetta GLI (2006-2012), VW Passat (2006-2008), VW EOS (2006-2016), and VW Tiguan (2008-2017). Some specific models like the Audi TT 2012-2015 (EA888.2) may require a PCV adapter. For EA113 engines, S3 Fuel Injectors and an HPFP upgrade are recommended. Supporting modifications such as a CTS Turbo Cold Air Intake and Direct-Fit Intercooler Kit are also recommended to maximize performance.
