K04-X Hybrid Turbocharger

The CTS Turbo K04-X Hybrid Turbocharger is engineered as a direct-fit replacement for factory turbochargers on 2.0T FSI and TSI Gen1 engines. It utilizes a CTS-spec HYBRID K04 CHRA equipped with heavy-duty thrust bearings and a 48.5/61mm billet compressor wheel for enhanced performance. Unlike other upgrades that may force larger components into undersized factory housings, the K04-X features custom-designed compressor and turbine housings specifically for the clipped K04 turbine wheel and its larger billet compressor. This turbocharger upgrade is designed to support up to 400HP with the appropriate supporting modifications. These essential supporting mods include Hybrid K04-specific software tuning, a performance downpipe, a performance intake system, and a performance intercooler. The use of factory exhaust and intercooler systems is not recommended with this high-performance turbocharger. Compatibility is specific to certain model years and engines. For EA113 2.0T FSI engines (timing belt), it fits Audi A3 (2006-2008 BPY), Audi TT (2008-2010 BPY), VW Golf GTI (2006-2008 BPY), VW Jetta (2006-2008 BPY), VW Passat (2006-2008 BPY), and VW EOS (2006-2008 BPY). For EA888.1 2.0T TSI engines (timing chain), it fits Audi A3 (2008-2013 CCTA/CBFA), Audi TT (2011 CCTA/CBFA), Audi Q3 (2015-2017 CCTA/CBFA), VW CC (2009-2017 CCTA/CBFA), VW Golf GTI (2008-2014 CCTA/CBFA), VW Jetta (2008-2010 CCTA/CBFA), VW Passat (2008-2010 CCTA/CBFA), VW EOS (2008-2016 CCTA/CBFA), and VW Tiguan (2008-2017 CCTA/CBFA). For EA888.2 2.0T TSI engines (timing chain w/ valvelift), it fits Audi TT (2012-2015 CCTA/CBFA), noting that a PCV adapter is required. The product is compatible with the factory turbo outlet pipe for both FSI and TSI engines but not with aftermarket stock turbo outlet pipes. It is also only compatible with HYBRID K04-specific tunes, not standard K04 tunes. Vehicles outside of North America should confirm fitment with their CTS Turbo dealer. Additional recommended parts include a CTS Turbo High Flow Turbo Outlet Pipe for EA888 engines and, for EA113 engines, S3 or RS4 Fuel Injectors and an HPFP upgrade, as advised by your tuner.
