The COMP Cams K11-422-8 Xtreme Energy Retrofit Cam and Lifter Kit is engineered for Chevrolet Big Block engines ranging from 396 to 454 cubic inches, covering models from 1967 to 1996. This hydraulic roller camshaft is designed for street/strip applications, providing a balance of performance and driveability within an operating RPM range of 1,600-5,400. This kit features a camshaft grind number of XR270HR, with an intake duration at 0.050 inch lift of 218 degrees and an exhaust duration at 0.050 inch lift of 224 degrees. The valve lift is specified at 0.510 inches for both intake and exhaust, with an advertised duration of 270 degrees for intake and 276 degrees for exhaust. The lobe separation angle is set at 110 degrees. To ensure proper operation and maintain warranty coverage, it is important to use the recommended COMP Cams lifters and valve springs.
