Traditional "cast in sleeves" are economical for low horsepower engines but inadequate for high-output applications. Darton's patented solution utilizes unique sleeve designs that, when siamesed and nested, create a solid deck of tension-held sleeve flanges, reinforcing the crucial upper deck area. This design also allows for individual sleeve replacement. Darton sleeves are "Wet" design, managing and enhancing water flow from the block to the head for improved cooling stability through "Swirl Coolant Technology." Heat dissipation is further aided by "Register Fins." The sleeves come with a phosphate coating, providing optimal corrosion and rust resistance, and adding a protective barrier for lower register o-rings to extend their lifespan. Specifications for this kit include a bore of 3.415 inches, an outer diameter of 3.850 inches, a wall thickness of 0.217 inches, and an overall length (OAL) of 5.800 inches. The flange thickness is 0.500 inches, and the flange diameter is 4.826 inches. This kit is designed for a maximum bore of 87mm to 90mm. It is compatible with various Acura ILX, Acura TSX, Honda Accord, Honda Civic SI, and Honda Element models from 2003 to 2015, all equipped with K24 engines.
