K24Z Oil Filter Housing Block-Off Plate Kit

The PRL Motorsports Honda K24Z Oil Filter Housing Block-Off Plate Kit is engineered for K24Z engine builds aiming for high power output and sustained high RPM operation. During such demanding conditions, the factory oiling system can become inefficient. To address this, a common solution is to swap in an Acura RSX Type-S PRB oil pump, which eliminates the balance shafts and improves oil supply. This block-off plate kit is a necessary component for this swap, specifically designed to seal the original oil filter housing location at the bottom of the K24Z block. It facilitates the relocation of the oil filter to the top of the engine, a configuration standard on most K-Series motors. The kit includes the oil pump block-off plate, two OEM Honda O-rings, three stainless steel socket head cap screw bolts, and an OEM Honda oil filter holder. It is critical to note that the factory K24Z-style oil pump MUST be swapped to a PRB-style oil pump when using this block-off plate. Failure to do so will result in the complete loss of oil pressure. This product is also not legal for sale or use in California on any emission-controlled motor vehicle.
