Overview

The KB Performance Hyper Piston and Ring Kits are designed for various Ford Small Block V8 Windsor applications. These pistons are cast from a 390 hypereutectic alloy and heat-treated to T-6 standards for increased strength. They feature fully machined crowns and valve pockets, and come in a standard 4.060-inch bore size. The kit includes piston rings with a 1/16 in. top ring, 1/16 in. second ring, and 3/16 in. oil ring.

These pistons are lightweight to enhance throttle response and RPM changes, while maintaining the strength needed for high compression and temperatures. The dome design is hollow and includes two valve reliefs. Wrist pin retainers and a wrist pin are included, with the pin being press-fit or floating style and measuring 0.912 inches in diameter. This set is sold as a set of 8 pistons.
