KC "Tiger Turbo" Stage 2 Dual Ball Bearing Turbocharger

The KC TP38r "Tiger Turbo" Stage 2 is a performance turbocharger engineered to revitalize the 7.3L Powerstroke OBS engine found in 1994-1998 Ford trucks. This unit offers a significant upgrade with its redesigned 63mm 7x7 KC300x Gen 2 compressor wheel, featuring extended tip technology for enhanced airflow, and a robust 73mm SXE style Gen 2 turbine wheel. The dual ball bearing center housing has been upgraded to accommodate a thicker shaft (7.5mm vs. 6.4mm), ensuring increased strength and longevity. Designed as a 100% drop-in replacement, the TP38r "Tiger Turbo" Stage 2 requires no engine modifications for installation. Its 4-inch ported compressor housing includes drilled anti-surge ports for high-flow capability, and it utilizes a High Flow Non-EBPV outlet flange. This turbo is capable of supporting injectors up to 205cc/30% and comes with a 4" intake boot, all necessary gaskets, and O-rings. It is specifically designed for trucks equipped with a metal 3.5" CCV boot. For optimal performance, KC Turbos highly recommends upgrading the up-pipes, the EBPV pedestal, and utilizing a Hydra Programming Chip. While designed for pickup trucks, installation in 7.3L equipped vans will require modifications to the turbo intake boot and down-pipe. The turbo is available with either a .84 A/R housing for quicker spool and cooler EGTs below 3000 RPM, or a 1.0 A/R housing intended for cooling EGTs above 3000 RPM.
