KC Turbos Stage 3 Turbocharger

The KC Turbos KC300x Stage 3 Turbocharger (MPN: 300232) is engineered as a direct-fit replacement for 1999.5-2003 Ford Powerstroke 7.3L pickup trucks. This unit boasts a 66mm 7x7 SXE style compressor wheel with extended tip technology and a 73mm SXE style turbine wheel, all housed within a 4" ported anti-surge housing for superior airflow. It features a reliable, rebuildable journal bearing design and includes a High Flow deleted EBPV outlet flange. This turbo comes complete with all necessary gaskets, O-rings, and a new 4" intake boot for installation. For optimal performance, KC Turbos recommends upgrading the up-pipes and EBPV pedestal, and running a Hydra Programming Chip or similar tuning solution. The product offers two turbine housing options: a .84 A/R for quicker spool and cooled EGTs below 3000 RPM, ideal for daily drivers and tow rigs, and a 1.0 A/R designed to keep EGTs cool above 3000 RPMs, suited for dedicated tow rigs and daily use. Injector recommendations range from a minimum of 180cc-30% to a maximum of 250cc-100%, with 238cc-80% being the stated recommendation for best results. While designed for direct fitment in 7.3L equipped pick-up trucks, installation in 7.3L equipped Vans will require modifications to the turbo intake boot and down-pipe. Additionally, customers should be aware of potential clearance issues and performance impacts with certain exhaust brake brands, as their operation may create extreme back pressure detrimental to the turbo and motor. It is the customer's responsibility to verify fitment and functionality with any exhaust brake system. Polished covers are available for an additional cost, with a two-week lead time.
