KC300X Stage 3 Turbocharger

The KC Turbos KC300X Stage 3 Turbo is engineered as a 100% drop-in replacement for 1999.5-2003 Ford 7.3L Powerstroke pickup trucks, offering enhanced performance through its modified Borg Warner 300sxe style components. Key features include a 66mm 7x7 SXE style compressor wheel utilizing extended tip technology for improved airflow, paired with a 73mm SXE style turbine wheel. The turbo is housed in a 4" ported housing with an anti-surge design for high flow, and incorporates a Big Head Wastegate Actuator for precise boost control. A High Flow deleted EBPV outlet flange is also integrated, and the unit utilizes a rebuildable journal bearing design for longevity. Installation is facilitated by the 100% drop-in fitment for pickup trucks, and the turbo comes complete with all gaskets and O-rings required, along with a new 4" intake boot. For best results, KC Turbos recommends upgrading up-pipes, the EBPV pedestal, and running a Hydra Programming Chip or similar tuning. The manufacturer has torture-tested this turbo for durability, proven its capability on the dyno, and at the race track. While designed as a direct fit for 7.3L equipped pick-up trucks, installation in 7.3L equipped vans will require modifications to the turbo intake boot and down-pipe. KC Turbos advises against the use of exhaust brakes with their turbos, as some brands may cause clearance issues, hinder performance, or rub the turbine wheel. These brakes create extreme exhaust back pressure, which can be detrimental to the turbo and engine. Customers are responsible for verifying fitment and functionality if an exhaust brake is used.
