KC38r Stage 2 Turbocharger

The KC Turbos KC38r "Tiger Turbo" is a Stage 2 dual ball bearing turbocharger specifically engineered for the Early 1999 Ford Powerstroke 7.3L engine. This turbocharger offers a significant upgrade with its 63mm 7x7 SXE-style compressor wheel, featuring extended tip technology for enhanced performance, and a larger 73mm SXE-style turbine wheel. Constructed for high flow and improved durability, the KC38r boasts a 4-inch ported housing with an anti-surge design and a high-flow, deleted EBPV outlet flange. The dual ball bearing center housing ensures longevity and is rebuildable. This turbo is presented as a 100% drop-in replacement, designed to fit directly into 7.3L equipped pick-up trucks. It includes all necessary gaskets and O-rings for installation, along with a new 4-inch intake boot. For optimal performance and compatibility, KC Turbos recommends upgrading the up-pipes, the EBPV pedestal, and utilizing a Hydra Programming Chip or a similar tuning solution. While the turbo is designed for direct fitment in pick-up trucks, modifications to the turbo intake boot and down-pipe may be necessary for proper installation in 7.3L equipped vans. It is important to note that this turbo will NOT fit Late 1999-2003 trucks. The turbo supports up to 205cc/30% injectors.
