The Kelford 207-T2 camshafts are a performance upgrade specifically engineered for turbocharged Toyota 1UZ-FE racing engines that operate under high boost and high RPM conditions. These cams feature a duration of 270° on the intake side and 280° on the exhaust side, with a lift of 9.90mm for intake and 9.60mm for exhaust. They are designed to help engines achieve over 800 horsepower. For single turbo applications, a turbocharger size of 64mm or larger is recommended, while twin turbo setups should utilize 54-58mm turbochargers. The 207-T2 camshafts are compatible with E85 fuel and are intended for 1989-1997 1UZ non-VVTi engines. They maintain the OEM shim-on-bucket valvetrain configuration, simplifying installation for those retaining stock-style heads. However, Kelford Cams strongly recommends using their KVS207 valve spring kit in conjunction with these camshafts to ensure optimal performance and reliability under demanding conditions. Installation of these camshafts requires a scissor gear transfer from the OEM camshafts. This process involves pressing the gears off the stock cams and potentially using heat. Notching of the scissor gear may also be necessary to fit over the larger lobes of the performance camshafts.
