The Ultimate Performance K5 Front Mount Intercooler is engineered to significantly lower intake charge temperatures, potentially by over 50 degrees Fahrenheit, and enhance throttle response across the entire power band. It is equipped with a Garrett Turbo Intercooler Core and is 100% handmade in the USA. Constructed with robust 6061 aircraft aluminum end tanks and a 13" x 8.5" x 5" Garrett core, this front mount intercooler (FMIC) is 100% TIG welded for maximum durability. It features factory-style inlet and outlet connections, allowing the factory blow-off valve to bolt right on. The design ensures it fits in the factory location without requiring any cutting or modification, and it works with stock hoses and clamps. Installation is straightforward, typically taking 30 minutes or less. The manufacturer notes that, at this time, they are only positive this intercooler fits the 1.6L FWD K5 model.
