The King CR8048SM represents a set of eight high-performance connecting rod bearings engineered for demanding applications. These bearings utilize King's strongest aluminum-based material, fortified with manganese and chromium for exceptional strength under high loads. The SM-Series features a traditional steel-backing, an aluminum bonding layer, and the specialized aluminum bearing alloy. These rod bearings are specifically designed for Chrysler V8 engines, including the 5.7L, 6.1L, and 6.4L Hemi variants. They are built for performance use and feature a standard crankshaft size with an optional housing bore of +.002 inches. The material is a bi-metal aluminum, offering durability and reliability. The CR8048SM bearings are compatible with a wide range of vehicles, including various models of the Chrysler 300 (from 2005-2022, with specific engine fitments), Dodge Challenger (2008-2022), Dodge Durango (2004-2022), Dodge Charger (2006-2022), Jeep Grand Cherokee (2005-2010), Ram 1500 (2003-2010), Ram 2500 (2003-2010), and Ram 3500 (2003-2009), among others. Specific engine applications include Mopar Hemi Gen III 5.7L/345 and 6.1L/370 variants.
