StopTech's new generation of calipers are designed for strength and light weight. The C43 caliper is approximately half the weight of the ST40 caliper and uses a DR21 pad shape (11% more volume than ST40 pads). It features a 36mm / 42mm piston bore for Subaru BRZ / Scion FR-S. The kit includes StopTech SR race pads and a 2-piece disc assembly for thermal expansion float. The C43 caliper is a 4-piston layout, forged aluminum, sized and machined to minimize weight (50% lighter than ST40, lighter than Trophy kit). Stainless steel piston noses and anti-knockback springs are optional. A single bridge bolt saves weight and reduces pad change times. C43 calipers do not include dust boots (minimize street use). Pads are 20mm thick and share shape with AP/Wilwood calipers (Pagid 2206, PFC 7551). Rotors are 2-piece 332x32mm with a slot pattern, designed to reduce MOI and prevent pad knockback. The 32mm thickness provides sufficient cooling capacity. Rotors feature StopTech's patented Aerorotor directional vaning pattern for improved cooling, consistent braking, less heat soak, and longer pad life. Sport CBK kits come with anti-rattle hardware on the hat.
