The Lewmar V4 / V5 Series Deck Unit is the largest rope-chain windlass in the Lewmar range. It features a rope-chain gypsy, an easy-control cone clutch, and manual free-fall. The robust drive train ensures reliable performance in demanding conditions. The "Gypsy Only" configuration handles chain. Additional components (motor gearbox, circuit breaker, contactor, switches) are required for a complete system. This unit is engineered for heavy-duty rope/chain handling on larger vessels, offering precise control during deployment and retrieval, and an optional manual override for safety during electrical failure.
