The Flyin' Kōgeki 17x8 wheel is an exclusive offering from Flyin' Miata, constructed using the flow-forming process. This method involves a cast center combined with a spin-forged barrel, resulting in a wheel that is both strong and lightweight, making it an ideal choice for performance-oriented vehicles like the ND Miata. They offer ample clearance for non-Brembo stock calipers and a wide range of aftermarket brake kits, including Flyin' Miata's own upgrades. A template is provided to check compatibility with other brake setups. For those with Brembo brakes (either OE or the specific big brake kit for Cup race cars), a 5mm spacer is recommended for caliper clearance. With this spacer, 225/45-17 tires should fit under stock fenders. While 235/40-17 tires may fit, they carry a higher risk of interference. Without the 5mm spacer (for non-Brembo brakes), 235/40-17 tires are generally compatible. Flyin' Miata recommends stronger, longer wheel studs when using spacers thicker than 3mm. These wheels meet J2530 JWL standards and are rated for a load of 550 kg (1213 lbs), providing an extra margin of safety over the typical 500 kg rating. To enhance performance and safety during hard driving, the wheels feature knurling on the bead seat to prevent tire slip. They are compatible with factory TPMS sensors and can use stock lug nuts, though care must be taken with socket sizes. Wheels are sold individually, so ensure you order four for a complete set.
