The valve features billet construction and a Boost-Balance Valve design to ensure a positive seal and hold more boost than plastic factory valves.

The Turbosmart Kompact EM Dual Port VR9 is a high-performance blow-off valve engineered as a direct replacement for the factory diverter valve in select BMW models. This award-winning unit offers a truly plug-and-play upgrade solution; simply unbolt your OEM valve and install the Kompact EM in its place. No additional adaptors, hoses, or assembly are needed, and it retains complete OE control over the blow-off valve's operation. Constructed from billet aluminum with high-temperature o-rings, this valve is built for durability and performance. Its Boost-Balance Valve Design ensures a positive seal, improving its ability to hold boost, especially as boost pressure increases. The integrated, proprietary high-temperature solenoid valve and internal pressure control channels contribute to its responsiveness, reacting faster than the blink of an eye. This Dual Port VR9 model simultaneously vents excess boost pressure back to the turbo inlet and to the atmosphere, which can help reduce turbo lag and improve throttle response. It is compatible with BMW N55 powered E and F Chassis vehicles, including models like the 135i, 335i, 535i, 640i, and 435i. Note that this product is not legal for sale or use in California on any pollution-controlled vehicle and is designated for Race Only applications in that state. For BMW M2 and X4 M40i models, a different part number (ES#4164903) is recommended.
