Kontrol Pro Inverted Monotube Rear Shock

This kit is designed for the 2009-2017 Volkswagen CC AWD models. Featuring inverted steel shock absorbers, these coilovers offer increased response and superior heat dissipation. The large 55mm shock bodies and increased shock fluid volume contribute to better cooling, while heavy-duty steel lower mounts ensure robust protection during aggressive track or rally use. The all-metal pillowball top mounts enhance strength and responsiveness, allowing for direct driver feedback. These top mounts also provide camber adjustability, enabling fine-tuning of wheel alignment directly at the coilover, eliminating the need for a separate camber kit. Most applications include an adjustable lower mount for ride height adjustment without sacrificing suspension travel. Constructed from 6061 billet aluminum with T6 hardening for the mounts and many components, this kit is lightweight, durable, and resistant to rust. The steel shock bodies are electroplated with zinc for added protection against corrosion, and a dust boot is included to safeguard the damper seal. With 36 levels of adjustable damping, users can precisely tune both compression and rebound for optimal handling and comfort tailored to their driving style and road conditions. The valving is carefully matched to the springs for reliable performance and ride quality. The monotube design separates oil and gas, leading to better heat dissipation, finer damping adjustments, and reduced aeration and cavitation compared to twin-tube designs. Note: Depending on the application, this coilover system may allow the vehicle to achieve OEM height levels or lower it up to 3 inches from OEM. This is a relevant consideration for competitors in rally events, as many sanctioning bodies have specific ride height regulations.
