The Magnecor 85259 KV85 is an 8.5mm ignition wire set designed for vehicles with aftermarket headers. It features a 2.5mm high-capacity metallic inductance EMI suppressed conductor and a TC-1500-HS aerospace-grade silicone rubber jacket.

This wire set is capable of handling extreme heat, with a service resistance of 600 degrees F (320 degrees C) and up to 1,000 degrees F (540 degrees C) for short bursts. Magnecor Race Wires are recommended for electronically managed engines to prevent interference and improve ignition performance.

The Magnecor 85259 KV85 is an 8.5mm ignition wire set engineered for enhanced performance and heat resistance. It utilizes Magnecor's exclusive 2.5mm high-capacity metallic inductance conductor, featuring a stainless steel wire wound at 200 turns per inch over a ferrimagnetic core. This design ensures effective EMI suppression. The insulating jacket is constructed from Magnecor's proprietary TC-1500-HS high-strength aerospace-grade silicone rubber. The KV85 8.5mm jacket offers a service heat resistance of 600 degrees F (320 degrees C) and can withstand temperatures up to 1,000 degrees F (540 degrees C) for short bursts of up to three minutes. They provide superior suppression for EMI compared to other spiral conductor wires, especially when paired with high-output ignition systems. Magnecor recommends these Race Wires for any electronically managed stock or modified late-model street engine, and suggests they can improve ignition performance in most other modified or street engines as well. This particular wire set, the MAG-85259, is specifically noted as being FOR VEHICLES W/AFTERMARKET HEADERS. It fits various Chevrolet Camaro, Chevrolet Corvette, Chevrolet Trailblazer SS, and Pontiac G8 models from 2004 to 2015, primarily those with 6.0L, 6.2L, or 6.2L SC engines and RWD or AWD drivetrains.
