The MAPerformance L15B7 Headstud Kit is engineered to provide superior head-to-block sealing, a critical need for high-performance 4-cylinder engines. This kit utilizes ARP head studs made from premium grade 8740 alloy, heat-treated to 200,000 p.s.i. to ensure complete heat penetration and exceptional strength. Each stud undergoes a centerless grinding process for maximum concentricity and is thread-rolled after heat treatment, providing approximately 1000% better fatigue strength compared to studs threaded prior to heat treatment. The kit includes MAPerformance L15B7 Headstud Spacers, ARP nuts, and ARP assembly lube, offering a complete solution for enhancing engine reliability under demanding conditions. The benefits of this headstud kit include significantly higher clamping force and resistance to head lift, making it an ideal upgrade for applications with higher boost levels. The product is specifically designed for the 2016-2021 Honda Civic 1.5T and the 2017-2021 Honda Civic Si. A crucial installation note specifies torquing to 60 ft-lb in three equal steps, following a specific sequence detailed in the provided instructions.
