The Toyota L52 is a rebuilt 5-speed transmission. It is completely rebuilt by a single builder and includes new syncro rings, bearings, and seals. The main case is sandblasted, cleaned, and coated with ceramic black, while the rear housing receives a similar treatment. All shift shafts are polished and checked for wear.

The L52 Toyota transmission is a fully rebuilt 5-speed unit designed for 1981-1983 4x4 22R Pickup models. Each transmission is meticulously rebuilt by a single expert builder specializing in Toyota manual transmissions, ensuring precision, quality, and reliability. Key components such as syncro rings, bearings, and seals are replaced with new parts. Bearings used are Koyo, Nachi, or SKF, and seals are genuine Toyota. Any gears, shafts, or hard parts that do not meet quality standards are replaced. The main case is sandblasted, cleaned, surfaced, and coated with ceramic black, while the rear housing undergoes a similar process. Shift shafts are polished and inspected for wear, and shift forks are cleaned and replaced as needed. The top plate housing is stripped, surfaced, and painted, with all seals replaced by genuine Toyota seals and the top plate reassembled with new oil plugs. All hardware is original Toyota with fresh gold zinc plating. This rebuilt transmission comes with a 1-year warranty. A $600 core charge applies, and a return label is provided for the core return. Acceptable cores are L50 or L52 transmissions; L45 4-speed transmissions are not acceptable. Deductions may apply for damaged internal components. Processing time is 30-45 business days, with an estimated lead time of 6 weeks if the unit is on backorder.
