The Kicker 46L7T124 is a 12-inch shallow-mount component subwoofer from the Solo-Baric L7T Series, engineered to deliver powerful bass in vehicles with limited space. Constructed with a signature square SoloKon™ polypropylene cone and a durable Santoprene rubber surround, this subwoofer is built for longevity and clear sound. Its sturdy steel basket resists vibration, providing a solid foundation for its 600 watts RMS power handling (1200 watts peak). The dual 4-ohm voice coils offer flexibility, allowing for easier power extraction from a mono amplifier. With a frequency response of 25-100 Hz and a sensitivity of 86.54 dB, it's designed for impactful low-end performance. The L7T Series is specifically designed for shallow-mount applications, requiring only 4-1/8 inches of top-mount depth. This makes it an ideal solution for installations where a traditional subwoofer would not fit, such as under-seat locations or compact enclosures. It excels in both sealed (0.55-1.25 cu. ft.) and ported (1.75-2.25 cu. ft.) enclosures, giving installers options to achieve their desired bass response. An important note for installers: when wiring this Dual Voice Coil (DVC) subwoofer for extremely low impedance, ensure your amplifier is compatible. Exceeding the amplifier's recommended minimum impedance can lead to damage or destruction.
