Overview

The Chevrolet Performance L8T Crate Engine is a 6.6L Gen V LT engine with 401 horsepower and 464 lb-ft of torque. It offers significant low-rpm torque thanks to its direct injection and 10.8:1 compression ratio.

Constructed with a cast iron, long-skirt cylinder block and a forged steel crankshaft, this engine is built for strength and durability. It features oil spray cooling for the pistons, six-bolt main caps, and production-style exhaust manifolds.

The Chevrolet Performance L8T Crate Engine is the largest displacement Gen V LT family engine, delivering a robust 401 horsepower and 464 lb-ft of torque, with a focus on low-rpm torque. Its direct injection system provides precise fuel control, contributing to a 10.8:1 compression ratio for high output. Built for strength and durability, this engine features a cast iron, long-skirt cylinder block with a six-bolt, cross-bolted main cap design. It includes a forged steel crankshaft, oil spray cooling for the pistons, and production-style exhaust manifolds. The package is supplied complete from throttle body to oil pan, including essential tubes and the dipstick. This crate engine requires several additional components for installation. A Front End Accessory Drive system must be ordered separately (P/N 19433745 for A/C, P/N 19433746 for non-A/C applications) and a pulley-mounted fan is not recommended. It includes an 8-bolt flexplate for automatic transmissions and is compatible with Engine Control Kit 19433736, which is required for use with a 6L80 transmission and includes the programmed controller, harness, pedal, sensors, and mounts.
