The Nismo Intake Collector Surge Tank Full Kit is engineered to optimize airflow and improve performance in tuned engines ranging from 400 to 600 horsepower. This kit features a redesigned intake pipe diameter, length, and collector shape. The distribution of air to each tube has been improved to provide more equal airflow volume, which enhances mid-range torque. Constructed from cast aluminum, this kit offers a larger volume capacity of 4.1 liters compared to the OEM 3.4 liters. The runner piping is extended to 73.8mm from the OEM 48.5mm, and the intake pipe diameter tapers from 43mm to 45mm, versus the OEM 45mm. These modifications contribute to an average intake temperature reduction of 18% in the 2,400 to 7,600 rpm range. Installation is described as a simple bolt-on process, though it necessitates adjustment of the engine control unit due to changes in engine characteristics. Failure to properly adjust the ECU may result in engine damage. Additionally, this product cannot be used with single, large-diameter throttle chambers. It is compatible with Nissan Skyline GT-R models equipped with the RB26DETT engine, specifically the BNR32 (various dates from 08/1989 to 12/1994), BCNR33 (various dates from 01/1995 to 05/1998), and BNR34 (various dates from 01/1999 to 08/2002).
