The NGK ILKAR7L11 Laser Iridium Spark Plug is engineered for the demands of performance enthusiasts, featuring a fine wire center electrode made from a durable iridium alloy with an extremely high melting point. This construction ensures a consistently stable spark, making it ideal for high-tech and high-performance engines. The plug also incorporates trivalent metal plating for superior anti-corrosion and anti-seizing properties, corrugated ribs to prevent flashover, and a pure alumina silicate ceramic insulator for enhanced strength and heat transfer. A copper core aids in heat removal, and triple seals are employed to prevent leakage. Key specifications include a 12mm thread diameter with a 1.25mm pitch, a 26.5mm reach, and a 9/16" (14mm) hex size. The terminal type is solid, and it features a projected 1.0mm fine wire iridium center electrode paired with a standard platinum ground electrode. The plug is a resistor type, with a heat range of 7 and a specified gap of .043" (1.1mm). Longevity is rated up to 100,000 miles, with a 60-day warranty. This spark plug is listed as compatible with a wide range of Mazda models from 2012 to 2024, including various trims of the Mazda 3, 6, CX-3, CX-30, CX-5, CX-50, CX-90, and MX-5 Miata. It also fits select Toyota Yaris models from 2018 to 2020 and Scion iA models from 2016. Refer to the fitment guide for exact vehicle compatibility.
