The NGK DF8H-11B Laser Iridium spark plug features a high-melting-point iridium alloy center electrode designed specifically for performance-oriented engines. This fine-wire construction, paired with a tapered-cut platinum ground electrode, ensures high durability and a consistently stable spark under demanding conditions. The design utilizes an extended projection to optimize ignitability, making it a reliable choice for high-output applications. Built to withstand rigorous environments, this spark plug includes trivalent metal plating that provides superior anti-corrosion and anti-seizing properties for easier removal. The plug incorporates a pure alumina silicate ceramic insulator for increased strength and enhanced heat transfer, while a copper core facilitates efficient heat removal from the combustion chamber. Corrugated ribs are integrated into the insulator to help prevent flashover. With a 12mm thread diameter, 1.25mm thread pitch, and a 26.5mm reach, this plug uses a gasket seat and features a solid terminal. The assembly includes triple seals to prevent combustion gas leakage, ensuring consistent performance over its 100,000-mile service interval. Torque specifications are 10.8-18 lb. ft. for cast iron heads and 10.8-14.5 lb. ft. for aluminum heads.
