The Tomei Rocker Arm Stopper is engineered to safeguard your SR20DET engine from potential damage caused by rocker arm displacement. During high-RPM circuit runs, drag racing, or accidental over-revving, the tappet side of the rocker arm fulcrum can jump, leading to the rocker arm coming off. This aftermarket component acts as a crucial safeguard by holding the lash adjuster side of the rocker arm with a fixed clearance. Constructed from durable SPCC steel with a chromate coating, this stopper controls the rocker arm's deflection when jumping occurs, thereby protecting your engine from catastrophic failure. The set includes components for both the intake and exhaust sides, ensuring comprehensive protection. It is also supplied with a spacer and miscellaneous hardware for installation. This Rocker Arm Stopper is specifically designed for the 1991-1998 Nissan 180SX equipped with the SR20DET engine. It is a vital component for engines that frequently operate above 7000 RPM or are subjected to demanding driving conditions.
