The NOS Launcher is a progressive nitrous controller that revolutionized the nitrous world with its gradual ramping-in of nitrous flow. This sophisticated electronic package tames the power of nitrous oxide, addressing the challenge of managing when, how much, and how fast nitrous is applied. Unlike older methods focusing on rpm window switches and ignition retard, the Launcher allows users to control wheel speed directly, without resorting to pulling timing. This controller was a significant turning point for racers looking to manage large nitrous shots. By allowing a lower initial percentage of nitrous (e.g., 20 percent), it prevents the rear tires from being overwhelmed at the launch. As the vehicle gains speed, the nitrous can be ramped up to its full potential (e.g., 100 percent at 1.8 seconds into the run), leading to improved performance and quicker elapsed times.
