LAVA HEAT SHIELD CLOTH LIGHT WEIGHT SMOOTH FINISH REFLECTS RADIANT HEAT

This universal heat shield mat features a carbon fiber look and is designed to reflect radiant heat. It can be cut to size for use on hoods, firewalls, body panels, and floorboards. It offers a continuous operating temperature of 1200°F and an intermittent operating temperature of 2000°F, capable of reducing up to 80% of radiant heat. The mat has an adhesive backing for easy installation on clean surfaces and is constructed from crushed volcanic rock (basalt fiber), providing excellent natural chemical, water, and acid resistance. A minimum of 3/8" airspace is recommended for optimal performance.
